“Behold the King is coming to you; He is just and endowed with salvation” (Zechariah 9:9; Matthew 21:5). Matthew presents Messiah Jesus as Supreme King proclaiming His kingdom and how people should live in that kingdom.
“Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold, My Chosen One in whom My soul delights (Isaiah 42:1; Mark 1:11). Mark describes Jesus the Anointed One as Servant, who “did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).
“Behold, a man whose name is Branch, for He will sprout from where He is; and He will build the temple of the Lord” (Zechariah 6:12). Luke tells of the Master Teacher Jesus, the man and “holy offspring (that) shall be called the Son of God” (Luke 1:35). Like all men, He must grow and mature. “And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men” (Luke 2:52).
“Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news... say to the cities of Judah, Behold your God” (Isaiah 40:9). John writes about Jesus, the Great I Am, admonishing all to believe that He is the Son of God, sent by the Father and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

God’s strategy for world evangelism calls for two equally important elements: Co-missionaries and Go-missionaries, the senders and the sent, the supporters and the workers. A Christian church without missionary enthusiasm is a contradiction. God depends upon the faithful testimony of His people for the evangelization of the world. The Savior expects those who have tasted the sweetness of salvation to spread the news far and wide. He has commissioned His children to share His Word to the lost in every country. |
