Pray daily for pastors in the Slavic countries (as well as your own) that they will have wisdom and power from God to preach the Word effectually and to care for all of the saints. Pray that the convicting power of the Holy Spirit will accompany the preaching of God’s Word throughout all lands. Ask God to stir up Christians to use their God-given freedom to the fullest advantage in making known everywhere the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). |

Although, at times, pressured with constant change, the workers of SMS press forward in their devotion and duty for the Lord Jesus Christ having “shod their feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace” (Ephesians 6:15). Many continue to provide “care” packages to those most affected by the continuing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, as well as those who are disadvantaged and despairing. And various types of gatherings continue to be conducted for the needy, for refugees and for widows.
“The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace” (Psalm 29:11). The sacrifice, serenity and stamina needed to provide goods and the Gospel to others during calamity and conflict can only come from a gracious and merciful God. Pray that the missionaries of SMS will continue to share peace to those people who cross their paths. May they reach these individuals who need that peace most of all. “Now the God of peace… equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20).
“Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen” (Romans 15:33). May all the SMS workers truly experience the presence of God in all their service for the Savior. “Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all” (2 Thessalonians 3:16).
“Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you” (2 Corinthians 13:11).
If anyone would desire to help the missionaries of SMS in their service to others during this time of tragedy and turmoil, please send the donation to Slavic Missionary Service, PO Box 469, Annandale, NJ 08801 or click on the donate icon to give your contribution electronically.
