God wants all believers to know His will in their daily lives. Pray especially for young people who are seeking God's plan for their lives. May they be "strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10). As they seek to serve the Lord in different vocations, pray that they will "put on the whole armor of God" and that they "may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11).

Slavic Missionary Service reports that many summer camps were held in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, even through difficult circumstances and conflict. Reaching children and youth beyond Sunday school classes is vitally important in Christian circles.

Special events geared for the younger generation help to build understanding and unity within families in the church, as well as families in the community. Summer camps continue to be one of the most effective methods of edifying and evangelizing children and young people.

Many of the children who have attended summer camps in the past are now assisting as counselors, leaders and workers in the present. These young adults acknowledge that the intense week-long concentration on Christian principles brought to them conviction of sin and a clear understanding of the Gospel. Because of the focus on faith in Christ, some also grew stronger in their commitment to God and a godly lifestyle. Now these young adults want other children to have the same opportunity and enjoy the same experience.

Only through contact with genuine Christians can the world see that Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). Only through the example of consecrated Christians can children and young people grasp the goodness and greatness of God. The SMS workers report that many members in their congregations chose to follow Jesus Christ during a summer camp program. Pray that SMS can continue to provide spiritual resources, as well as financial assistance, for this worthy outreach in Slavic countries. Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5:1-2

With a heart of compassion, pray for the salvation of souls on each of the continents of the world. Pray that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will spread to the seven billion people throughout the world. "The Lord… is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). Ask God to strengthen you to be a witness for Him wherever you are and in whatever you do!
