Pray daily for pastors in the Slavic countries (as well as your own) that they will have wisdom and power from God to preach the Word effectually and to care for all of the saints. Pray that the convicting power of the Holy Spirit will accompany the preaching of God’s Word throughout all lands. Ask God to stir up Christians to use their God-given freedom to the fullest advantage in making known everywhere the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). |
The task of missions is a team effort. All energies must be directed to accomplish the goal of building. Methods may differ according to country and culture, but the message is always the same. “Repent and believe the Gospel” (Mark 1:15). God declares “to men that all everywhere should repent” (Acts 17:30).
The church’s primary activity until Christ’s Second Coming is to proclaim the Gospel to all people in all places. Evangelism should never be replaced but ever reinforced to all generations. The missionary mandate to “preach the Gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15) has not been revoked or rescinded by God.
Until the Son of God, Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior returns for His completed church, the commission must be completed. “And repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem” (Luke 24:7).
Pray for the missionaries of Slavic Missionary Service that each one will participate in building the church and will proclaim that “there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
Only God the Holy Spirit can convince, convict and convert. “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart (whole being) that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved” (Romans 10:9). God help all of us to build His church!
