Pray daily for pastors in the Slavic countries (as well as your own) that they will have wisdom and power from God to preach the Word effectually and to care for all of the saints. Pray that the convicting power of the Holy Spirit will accompany the preaching of God’s Word throughout all lands. Ask God to stir up Christians to use their God-given freedom to the fullest advantage in making known everywhere the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). |

God “so loved the world;” therefore, He “sent” His Son Jesus to the world (John 3:16). The Bible is simplistically clear concerning the motivating factor in genuine godly faith. Look how many times God repeats “love one another” in His Holy Word (John 13:34-35; 15:12, 17; Romans 12:10; 13:8; 1 Thessalonians 3:12; 4:9; 1 Peter 1:22; 4:8; 1 John 3:11, 23; 4:7, 11, 12, 21; 2 John 1:5)! Love motivates salvation, sacrificial service, sincere speech and a steadfast stand in the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
God’s love includes mercy and judgment. It instills faith, forgiveness and a heavenly future. God’s love inspires sensible heads, serving hands and submissive hearts. God calls, commands and compels His children to love. The God-fearing, God-following, Gospel-feasting, guilty-forgiving, good-feeling, goal-flourishing and glory-fulfilling church must be preaching the love of Christ, teaching the love of Christ and reaching others with the love of Christ. Love promotes dedication, determination, devotion and discipline.
“Through love serve one another” (Galatians 5:13). Praise God that the missionaries of Slavic Missionaries Service are sharing and spreading love to children, youth and adults through outreaches, such as camping programs, home Bible studies and special events geared for each specific age group. Pray that support will continue to be contributed by faithful, sacrificial churches and families so that the workers of SMS can point others of every age to the love of God. “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14).
