Slavic Missionary Service

Pray daily for pastors in the Slavic countries (as well as your own) that they will have wisdom and power from God to preach the Word effectually and to care for all of the saints. Pray that the convicting power of the Holy Spirit will accompany the preaching of God’s Word throughout all lands. Ask God to stir up Christians to use their God-given freedom to the fullest advantage in making known everywhere the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8).

Each generation should be given the “best” from the preceding generation. With that best, that next generation then should build upon it to give to the future generation. Genuine believers are “a chosen generation” able to “proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).

For the believer the best is being born-again, blood-bought and bountifully blessed in Christ Jesus. Therefore, the Christian desires for others to know about this tremendous truth of salvation from sin and sweet serenity found in the Savior. And others include children and young people. “One generation shall commend Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts” (Psalm 145:4).

The missionaries of Slavic Missionary Service understand that the next generation must be given the opportunity to accept or reject the Good News of Salvation found in the Holy Scriptures. That is why summer camps are organized specifically for children and youth. Sunday school classes are offered for all ages in the church, and conferences are conducted especially for the youth. “So we Your people and the sheep of Your pasture will give thanks to You forever; to all generations we will tell of Your praise” (Psalm 79:13).

The Lord will resume His dealing with the nations, as well as with the Chosen nation, when He has completed the church in this Age of Grace. God is working today “to take out” of the nations “a people for His name” (Acts 15:14). Ask God to empower every witness that is proclaiming this message of love to sinful men. Pray continually that the Holy Spirit will convict men of their need of Christ. “Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
