SMS is the Missionary Branch of the Russian-Ukrainian Evangelical Baptist Union (RUEBU)

The goal of Slavic Missionary Service is to proclaim to all people (especially in Slavic Countries) the gift of salvation through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ who died for the sins of mankind, was buried in the tomb and who rose again to fulfill all requirements necessary for individuals to repent and to be reconciled to God.

This proclamation is performed by messengers called of God for this task of evangelization. When the proclamation is accepted by individuals, the messengers must continue educating and equipping believers through exhortation and edification. Praise God for those contributors who are supporting the missionaries of Slavic Missionary Service and for those Christians who are sent as missionaries. It is a precious privilege and tremendous responsibility to be set apart by God for the ministry of spreading the glorious Gospel of a Savior’s love to those that sit in darkness and in the shadow of eternal death. SMS rejoices when there is “participation in the Gospel” (Philippians 1:5).

One significant feature in the Holy Scriptures concerning the relationship of the Creator and the Christian is the symbolism of the His good hand. “Both riches and honor come from Thee, and Thou dost rule over all, and in Thy hand is power and might; and it lies in Thy hand to make great, and strengthen everyone” (1 Chronicles 29:12). The hand of God guides the believer always in all ways. The hand of God guards against evil agitations and evil aggression. And the hand of God gives grace to accomplish great things for His glory. Slavic Missionary Service praises God for each individual and church that supports our ministries and outreaches, especially during these complicated, confusing and even chaotic times. This partnership enables SMS to work with national missionaries on the Slavic fields who need assistance to accomplish spiritual permanence and progress. It is only with these donations that SMS can plan for future projects or continue to maintain and grow present ministries on the foreign fields.
