God wants all believers to know His will in their daily lives. Pray especially for young people who are seeking God's plan for their lives. May they be "strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10). As they seek to serve the Lord in different vocations, pray that they will "put on the whole armor of God" and that they "may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). |
Every day is a day of opportunity for Christian service. In spite of obstacles and opposition, the obedient believer obeys the Master’s leading to share the Word of God. “For a wide door for effective service has opened to me, and there are many adversaries” (1 Corinthians 16:9).
How grateful to God is Slavic Missionary Service when the missionaries “report all things that God had done with them and how He opened a door of faith to the Gentiles (Slavic people)” (Acts 14:27). In some areas, fruit is more abundant; but whether great or small, SMS praises God for the productive results and progress!
For all the missionaries of SMS, please intercede “that God may open up to (them) a door for the Word, so that (they) may speak forth the mystery of Christ” (Colossians 4:3). Home Bible studies, one-on-one casual visits to cafes or small social activities can be occasions to share Christ’s love to those who are interested in spiritual matters but are reluctant to attend a worship service.
The SMS missionary must be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. When an opportunity is offered “and when a door (is) opened… in the Lord (2 Corinthians 2:12), may each SMS worker enter confidently and compassionately, ready to share the Good News of salvation.
