The church communities in Borovliany and Slonim, Belarus are rejoicing before God with thanksgiving for those Christians who are contributing to their building projects. Slavic Missionary Service is truly grateful for funds received for the kitchen and dining hall of the Resurrection Church in Borovliany and the renovation of the old building in downtown Slonim that will soon become the meeting place for worship services and spiritual activities.
Sergey Drozd and Stas Bokun, SMS national missionaries, are happy to announce that the ceilings, walls and floors have been finished in the kitchen and dining room areas. Now, funds must be gathered for the chairs and tables for the dining hall, as well as appliances for the kitchen. Once these areas are completed, ministry at the Resurrection Church will be much more efficient and effective for the glory of God.
Alexey Pogarzhelsky, SMS national worker, is happy to announce that most of the first floor of the “new” building has been completed, including the bathrooms, foyer and large room that will be used as the auditorium. Praise God for members of the church and other volunteers that have donated their time and talents to accomplish these tremendous tasks.
Pray that funds will continue to be received for these important projects. If any would desire to donate to either project, please click the donate button or mail your contribution to Slavic Missionary Service, PO Box 469, Annandale, NJ 08801.
God’s strategy for world evangelism calls for two equally important elements: Co-missionaries and Go-missionaries, the senders and the sent, the supporters and the workers. A Christian church without missionary enthusiasm is a contradiction. God depends upon the faithful testimony of His people for the evangelization of the world. The Savior expects those who have tasted the sweetness of salvation to spread the news far and wide. He has commissioned His children to share His Word to the lost in every country. |
