God continues to build His church in Slavic countries, as well as throughout the world. Slavic Missionary Service is grateful that He chooses consecrated, divinely-called Christians to assist in His amazing service and provides significant abilities to accomplish His plan.
The missionaries of SMS are fulfilling the Great Commission. “Then they that gladly received the word were baptized” (Acts 2:41). Christians must clearly and convincingly show what it means to follow Christ. A clear cut, conscious decision must be made when directing an individual “to repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 20:21).
Throughout the Slavic countries, church are growing in size and in spiritual strength. Praise God that those who are baptized are able to share their testimonies of salvation from sin and their identification as servants for the Lord in service. This identification within the body of Christ shows the Slavic world that these Christians are serious concerning their commitment to obey the commands of their sovereign God and glorious Savior. They desire to serve with greater dedication, determination and devotion.
Pray that God will continue to add to “the church daily such as should be saved” (Acts 2:47). Intercede for new believers that they will “grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). Ask God to empower the missionaries of SMS, as they serve Him faithfully, fearfully and fruitfully. Until the church is complete, may God help every born-again believer to “press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14).
