God wants all believers to know His will in their daily lives. Pray especially for young people who are seeking God's plan for their lives. May they be "strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10). As they seek to serve the Lord in different vocations, pray that they will "put on the whole armor of God" and that they "may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). |
With much energy and enthusiasm, the national missionaries of Slavic Missionary Service are diligently spreading the Gospel in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. They understand the importance of reaching the next generation with the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ; therefore, programs have been designed in many areas of Christian ministry specifically for children and youth.
In Slonim Belarus, the Bible club has seen encouraging results, as it expands with more children and more volunteers. Exciting activities and enlightening Biblical lessons keep the children and young people busy during the allotted time of gathering at the church. No individual is forced to participate, but all are encouraged to learn more about the Lord Jesus Christ and Christian principles.
In Bezhan, Russia the Bible camp has expanded its territory. Now, there is ample space for the children and young people to exercise with such games as dodge ball, soccer and volleyball. Praise God for supporters who willingly gave to purchase this property in order that activities and programs can grow in capacity.
In Borislav, Ukraine extra fruit and chocolates were purchased for an orphanage that assists handicapped children, as well as refugee families. The offer to provide these expensive items to brighten the hearts of the children was immensely appreciated. The opportunity to share a short message about the Love of God and salvation was also allowed not only to the children but also to the staff.
The dedication of the SMS national workers to reach children and young people with the Gospel is truly remarkable and refreshing. “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Luke 18:16).
