God wants all believers to know His will in their daily lives. Pray especially for young people who are seeking God's plan for their lives. May they be "strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10). As they seek to serve the Lord in different vocations, pray that they will "put on the whole armor of God" and that they "may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). |
Praise God for those contributors who are supporting the missionaries of Slavic Missionary Service and for those Christians who are sent as missionaries. It is a precious privilege and tremendous responsibility to be set apart by God for the ministry of spreading the glorious Gospel of a Savior’s love to those that sit in darkness and in the shadow of eternal death. SMS rejoices when there is “participation in the Gospel” (Philippians 1:5).
Pray that God will give the missionaries of SMS readiness to witness, wisdom to answer any questions and spiritual skill to keep the conversation centered on Christ. “But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15). Pray that God will lead His servants to prepared hearts and minds that are ready to hear the Good News of hope and salvation. “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him” (John 6:44). SMS rejoices that there is “progress of the Gospel” (Philippians 1:12).
Pray that the SMS workers will get the Word of God into the hands of others. Intercede that God will speak through His Word and that the Holy Spirit will convict of sin. “And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment” (John 16:8). May God’s servants “plant” and “water”the seed, and may God bring forth the “increase” (1 Corinthians 3:6).
Pray that the Gospel will be “constantly bearing fruit and increasing” in the Slavic world (Colossians 1:6). Intercede for those individuals who hear the Gospel that they will understand “the grace of God in truth” (Colossians 1:7). SMS rejoices that there is “power”in the “Gospel” (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 1:18; 1 Thessalonians 1:5).
