God wants all believers to know His will in their daily lives. Pray especially for young people who are seeking God's plan for their lives. May they be "strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10). As they seek to serve the Lord in different vocations, pray that they will "put on the whole armor of God" and that they "may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). |
God gives every Christian different abilities, gifts and talents to prepare them for appointed tasks. God calls every believer to share genuine faith to all age groups. Every Christian can be a sower who plants good seed – the Word of God. Praise God for leaders of Slavic Missionary Service and volunteers in each church community who have conducted summer camps for children and young people.
In a camp setting, counselors, leaders and staff have the privilege of introducing children and young people to the Savior, Jesus Christ. With power from the Holy Spirit, seeds can be planted that can blossom into salvation, sanctification and service. Many of the helpers and leaders that are assisting camp today were campers themselves in the past. Now, they are happy to participate in sharing what they have learned when they attended a camp program.
Children’s camps, family camps and youth camps were conducted in Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine with wonderful results. Slavic Missionary Service is thankful for every supporting church or family that contributed to assist many of these summer programs. This partnership allows the missionaries of SMS to invite more families who cannot afford the program and to include extra resources, especially spiritual materials, for distribution when the program is completed.
Pray that the SMS missionaries and leadership of each church will continue to minister to the children and young people that have attended camp. Pray that the “follow-up” work will be well-pleasing to the Lord and productive for the kingdom of God. “And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and steadfastness in Christ” (2 Thessalonians 3:5).
