Pray daily for pastors in the Slavic countries (as well as your own) that they will have wisdom and power from God to preach the Word effectually and to care for all of the saints. Pray that the convicting power of the Holy Spirit will accompany the preaching of God’s Word throughout all lands. Ask God to stir up Christians to use their God-given freedom to the fullest advantage in making known everywhere the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). |
God has said in His Word that with Him “all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). No matter what the Lord calls the believer to do or where the Lord calls the believer to go, that individual is working together with the Sovereign Creator and Sustainer of this world. “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh, is anything too difficult for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:27).
Hand-in-hand, churches, and Christian families are helping to complete building projects in Belarus. Contributions have been given for the kitchen and dining hall project in Borovliany and for the renovation of the “new” building in Slonim. Praise God that progress continues in order to finish these two projects.
The church leaders in Borovliany are working diligently because a kitchen is extremely vital during this time. The Resurrection Church has been ministering to the Ukrainian refugees that have been pouring into Belarus for refuge and relief. Because there is no kitchen to prepare meals, the church must use outside sources to assist in this vital outreach.
The building (old courthouse) that was purchased by Slonim Bible Church in the center of town, needs a considerable amount of renovation. Once the first floor has been completed for conducting services, the House of Prayer will be sold to continue the renovation on the second floor. Praise God that materials have been purchased and volunteers from other SMS churches are assisting in the construction.
The church, the body of Christ, is a unified band of genuine Christians bound together by the unique experience of salvation and the uplifting expression of love for God and for others. Slavic Missionary Service is grateful to God for the communication and cooperation of many churches and Christians in order to fulfill the Great Commission, especially in Slavic fields. Pray that this powerful partnership will continue so that the Lord Jesus Christ may receive all the honor and glory.
