Pray daily for pastors in the Slavic countries (as well as your own) that they will have wisdom and power from God to preach the Word effectually and to care for all of the saints. Pray that the convicting power of the Holy Spirit will accompany the preaching of God’s Word throughout all lands. Ask God to stir up Christians to use their God-given freedom to the fullest advantage in making known everywhere the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). |
“You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14). How illuminating and important it is when a faithful servant of God shares “the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:4). Philip was sent to the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:26-40). Peter was sent to Cornelius (Acts 10:17-48). Paul was sent to Lydia (Acts 16:11-15). Aquila and Priscilla were sent to Apollos (Acts 18:24-28).
“In Your light we see light” (Psalm 36:9). Pray that God will help the missionaries of Slavic Missionary Service to “put on the armor of light” (Romans 13:12) and to “walk as children of light” (Ephesians 5:8). May God direct them to inquisitive individuals and “turn them from darkness to light” (Acts 26:18). And may God help all of us to “shine as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:15).
