Thank God for salvation that He has given through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Sin has been forgiven, and judgment concerning the past has been paid “through the blood of His cross” (Colossians 1:20). Every believer should be “giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light” (Colossians 1:12).
Thank God for stewardship that He has entrusted to the church community to accomplish the Great Commission. “Walk with wisdom toward outsiders, redeeming the time” (Colossians 4:5). Service is offered to every member in the present to proclaim the Gospel and to practice godliness. “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding with thanksgiving” (Colossians 2:6-7).
Thank God for security and serenity that He has promised through the sealing of the Holy Spirit. Sanctification assists the believer in every task, trial or temptation leading to an eternal future with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts; to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful” (Colossians 3:15).
When Jesus returns for His church, the hope of heaven will become reality for all genuine believers. Thank God that this hope found in Jesus Christ is certain and will bring to fruition the riches of His glory and grace! Thank you for partnering with Slavic Missionary Service in the Slavic world to see souls saved for His honor and glory. “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving” (Colossians 4:2).
“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God” (Colossians 3:16). May God help us always to be living with thanksgiving! “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father” (Colossians 3:17).
