The mission of the church requires faithful obedience, even when encountering oppression, obstacles and closed doors. Although many new ways of sharing the Gospel have appeared in the last fifty years, God has already revealed the best method to accomplish His plan. God reaches the world through dedicated disciples who are involved in missionary endeavors. And many missionary tasks involve technology.
Through missionary activity God seeks to accomplish His eternal purpose of redeeming individuals from sin. Through missions God reveals His love for all mankind. Through missions a pathway is provided to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ to people, all types of people in all types of places. The ministry of missions begins when the believer departs from home and enters the streets, the school, the store, the office, the world for interaction.
Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit will direct and empower the obedient child of God. It is important that believers continue to be mobilized and motivated. Guidance will be granted to those Christians who are “on the move” for Christ. God grants the best to those believers who stand the test.
Through all forms of technology, the Gospel message can be transferred by God’s people. Whether it be through the computer, the radio, the recording and streaming device, or the television, God’s Word must be propagated by God’s wise witnesses. In some cases, the only way the church can fulfill the “go” of the Great Commission is through technology.
Therefore, let’s pray for the SMS missionaries that they will be able to utilize all types of technology to present the plan of salvation in their countries and communities adequately and effectively. When opportunities arise to assist, may the contributions of Christian partners help to accomplish spiritual success for God’s honor and glory.
God’s strategy for world evangelism calls for two equally important elements: Co-missionaries and Go-missionaries, the senders and the sent, the supporters and the workers. A Christian church without missionary enthusiasm is a contradiction. God depends upon the faithful testimony of His people for the evangelization of the world. The Savior expects those who have tasted the sweetness of salvation to spread the news far and wide. He has commissioned His children to share His Word to the lost in every country. |
