God wants all believers to know His will in their daily lives. Pray especially for young people who are seeking God's plan for their lives. May they be "strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10). As they seek to serve the Lord in different vocations, pray that they will "put on the whole armor of God" and that they "may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). |
Slavic Missionary Service includes Christian women who are toiling for Christ their Savior with their talents, time and tithe. How important it is for “local” bodies of believers to involve good, godly women who are willing to serve faithfully and fervently in ministry like such Biblical examples of Dorcas, Eunice, Joanna, Lois, Mary Magdalene, Phoebe, Priscilla and Susanna.
Praise God for these women who serve in missionary offices so that the labor for the Lord may run effectively and efficiently. Praise God for these wives of missionaries who assist their husbands side-by-side through seasons of abundance, as well as seasons of abasement. Praise God for these workers who lead teams of women to provide comfort, compassion and counsel during conferences, retreats, seminars and summer camping programs.
Like Mary of Bethany in the Bible, the good and godly woman must first sit “at Jesus’ feet” and hear “His word” (Luke 10:39). Then, she can stand, serve and do “what she could” for Christ and the Gospel’s sake (Mark 14:8). And just as those during Biblical times, praise God that there are still some who provide for Jesus “out of their means” (Luke 8:3).
Continue to intercede for the ladies of Slavic Missionary Service who desire to please God in all that they do. Pray that God will give them the necessary energy, enlightenment and enthusiasm to accomplish the tasks set before them. And may there be unity of edification and effort, as all SMS workers serve the Lord Jesus Christ with gladness, goodness and godliness.
