Pray daily for pastors in the Slavic countries (as well as your own) that they will have wisdom and power from God to preach the Word effectually and to care for all of the saints. Pray that the convicting power of the Holy Spirit will accompany the preaching of God’s Word throughout all lands. Ask God to stir up Christians to use their God-given freedom to the fullest advantage in making known everywhere the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). |
It remains for you to make of me what you will. If you write with firm steady strokes, my pages will be a joy to look upon when the next New Year comes. If the pen falters and uncertainty or doubt should mar the page, it will become a day to remember with pain.
I am the New Year. Each hour of the three hundred and sixty-five days, I will give you sixty minutes that have never known the use of man. White and pure, I present them; it remains for you to fill each minute with sixty jeweled seconds of love, hope, patience and trust in God.
I am the New Year. I am here; but once past, I can never be recalled. Make me your best!

Slavic Missionary Service welcomes the New Year with jubilation and supplication. Praise the Lord for the ongoing outreaches and opportunities overseas. How grateful to God SMS was in 2019, as workers were alert, standing firm in the faith, acting mature, showing strength and emphasizing love (1 Corinthians 16:13-14).
Now in 2020 SMS desires that the God of love and peace be with us, as every worker expresses joy, develops spiritually, embraces with comfort, thinks together in unity and promotes peace (2 Corinthians 13:11). Intercede on behalf of SMS so that God may be glorified with these goals! And in 2020 may “the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all” (2 Corinthians 13:14).
