Pray daily for pastors in the Slavic countries (as well as your own) that they will have wisdom and power from God to preach the Word effectually and to care for all of the saints. Pray that the convicting power of the Holy Spirit will accompany the preaching of God’s Word throughout all lands. Ask God to stir up Christians to use their God-given freedom to the fullest advantage in making known everywhere the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). |
Foreign teams from overseas (America and Sweden) joined national teams to honor and glorify the Lord Jesus with interesting and instructive programs. SMS missionaries Nikolay Semenkovich, Alexsei Pogarzhelski and Stanislav Bokun were grateful for the participation of these Christian volunteers, as they partnered together to accomplish each task with energy and enthusiasm.
Children from six to fourteen years old participated in the games, crafts and Bible lessons. Joy permeated the atmosphere, as young and old learned more about God and the Christian life. During one of the camp’s last day, the parents joined the closing events to see what caused their children to experience such happiness. Many children desired more information about the Christian life and the evangelical churches in their communities.
Pray that the leadership of each sponsoring church will continue to minister to the children who attended the camps, especially those children who have made decisions to follow Jesus Christ. Intercede for the parents of the children that they, too, will seek to learn more about God’s love and holiness.
