Ask God to thrust into His harvest many young people ready to proclaim the “Good News.” Pray that they will learn from God’s Word to live in the light of His coming and be ready to stand before the judgment seat of Christ. “I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one” (1 John 2:14). Thank God for every pastor and teacher already laboring to perfect the saints, and ask Him to strengthen them to continue their work through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Slavic Missionary Service thanks Almighty God for His mercy toward Anton Nazarevich, SMS missionary in Lutsk, Ukraine, who continues to battle cancer. The doctors have done everything humanly possible for him. Now, he is trusting God to help him with comfort and compassion concerning his illness. Recently, Anton has been administering homeopathic remedies to reduce his pain.

Anton continues to preach at the Central Church in Lutsk and continues to write for the Christian magazine that covers Christian ministries and churches in the Volyn Region of Western Ukraine. Many workers in various ministries visit Anton, not only to encourage him in his trials but also to reap spiritual advice from his many experiences in the Christian walk for Christ.

SMS is so grateful that Anton started various ministries in the Volyn Oblast including prison ministry and a Bible study geared for hearing-impaired believers. Anton has also taught at the Volyn Regional Bible College for many years.

Please pray that God will give Anton strength to serve Him until He calls him home to glory. Anton desires to be faithful to His Savior until he draws his last breath. “Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary” (Isaiah 40:31).

Never wait for the lost soul to approach you and ask about the way to salvation. He or she seldom comes. The method of our Lord Jesus was to seek the lost. “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). All around us are opportunities to witness about “new life” in Christ, if the believer will allow the Holy Spirit to assist him in sharing that marvelous message. People should be given a choice. Pray that all of the SMS missionaries will present the Gospel to anyone who is willing to listen to the “Good News.”
