Ministries for Children

God wants all believers to know His will in their daily lives. Pray especially for young people who are seeking God's plan for their lives. May they be "strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10). As they seek to serve the Lord in different vocations, pray that they will "put on the whole armor of God" and that they "may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11).

Valery Eroshkin, Senior Pastor and SMS missionary, and his church in Oryol, Russia have been quite busy these past winter months. The leadership and volunteer staff prepared 650 gifts for ministries with children. These gifts were presented at a Christmas service, a New Year’s service, a winter camp for children and to a few orphanages. During difficult times, these gestures of giving show the genuine meaning of Christianity. Remember the words of the Lord Jesus. “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).

Pray that the fathers, mothers and grandparents (as well as the children) will find Christ as their Savior through the result of this powerful witness from the church. Ask God to empower Valery Eroshkin (and other SMS missionaries) to accomplish a more fruitful work among the people who need to hear and accept the offer of salvation through the sacrifice of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Likewise, pray that God will enlarge the scope of ministry with each missionary partnering with Slavic Missionary Service.

No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

1 John 4:12

With a heart of compassion, pray for the salvation of souls on each of the continents of the world. Pray that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will spread to the seven billion people throughout the world. "The Lord… is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). Ask God to strengthen you to be a witness for Him wherever you are and in whatever you do!
