God wants all believers to know His will in their daily lives. Pray especially for young people who are seeking God's plan for their lives. May they be "strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10). As they seek to serve the Lord in different vocations, pray that they will "put on the whole armor of God" and that they "may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). |
1. Occupy your time. Time is one of God’s boundaries to men. It takes time to accomplish those things that are pleasing to God. The only way to make the time of your life worthwhile is to occupy that time in Christian service. Time must be taken to fellowship with God through the Word and through prayer. How much time is God involved in your day? “Continue in My word” (John 8:31), and “devote yourselves to prayer” (Colossians 4:1).
2. Occupy your talents. God has given everyone abilities and talents to serve Him. Those talents should be perfected in order to see progress in service. As a believer continues to submit to the Savior, God will prepare that believer to perform good works to honor and glorify Him. How have you used your talents for God today? “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepare beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).
3. Occupy you territory. Start living as a child of Christ right where God has placed you. Whether at home, at school, at work or just on the street, one must maintain and proclaim Christian principles. A believer, first of all, is responsible to live as God’s child before his family, friends and immediate contacts. He or she must take a “stand” against that which is ungodly and “stand steadfast” in that which is godly.
Then, God may entrust more territory to that individual to expand his or her Christian influence. Are you acting like a genuine believer in the area where you are? “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
