Ask God to thrust into His harvest many young people ready to proclaim the “Good News.” Pray that they will learn from God’s Word to live in the light of His coming and be ready to stand before the judgment seat of Christ. “I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one” (1 John 2:14). Thank God for every pastor and teacher already laboring to perfect the saints, and ask Him to strengthen them to continue their work through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Anton Nazarevich, SMS missionary in Lutsk, Ukraine, expresses gratitude to God and to his supporters for their prayers and financial support while recuperating from his surgery. (He was treated for prostate cancer.) Anton also praises God for the “extra” gifts from a supporting church that has eased the strain of the costs of treatment and medicine. (SMS also praises the Lord for such wonderful contributors that assist our missionaries and ministries in the Slavic world.)

Although recovery will acquire a certain amount of time, Anton has been able to minister in some churches in the nearby villages recently. He is grateful to the Lord for granting him the gifts of teaching and preaching. As long as God gives him breath, Anton desires to utilize these gifts for God’s glory.

During this time, Anton received the unique opportunity by a Christian film studio to give an interview about the history of Christianity during the era of the Soviet Union. The interview last for an hour and a half; and the film, hopefully, will be released next year. God has truly allowed Anton to share in various ways the experiences that he had to endure as a Christian during the era of communism.

Continue to pray for Anton that God would grant him a speedy recovery. And pray that Anton will rest during this crucial time, for he desires quickly to serve the Lord Jesus again in the pulpit and prison ministries that God has given in the Volyn region of Ukraine.

Never wait for the lost soul to approach you and ask about the way to salvation. He or she seldom comes. The method of our Lord Jesus was to seek the lost. “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). All around us are opportunities to witness about “new life” in Christ, if the believer will allow the Holy Spirit to assist him in sharing that marvelous message. People should be given a choice. Pray that all of the SMS missionaries will present the Gospel to anyone who is willing to listen to the “Good News.”
