“So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith” (Galatians 6:10). A member of the church recommended to the pastor to share this “gift of kindness” also to an older unsaved man in her apartment complex. He was extremely appreciative and even attended the church that following Sunday.
The interim director then left some contributions with the pastor in order to buy potatoes for other needy families during the fall months. Because there is very little work in Bendery and the pensions are quite meager, many people struggle to feed themselves and their families. Peter understands that the church must meet the needs of the church community first and then reach out to the unchurched community with “deeds” of love and kindness.
Of course, with these gestures of giving, words from the Bible are shared concerning the “indescribable gift” that God has given to the world. Many are thankful for this humanitarian aid, and some desire to know more about the gift of salvation presented by God.
Pray that SMS can provide to Peter and Tanya Korotash, as well as other SMS missionaries, the needed resources in order to reach their communities for Christ. Now is the time for believers in Transnistria (Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic) to share the Good News that God can alleviate the physical needs of anyone, but more importantly, the spiritual needs that affect every man and woman throughout the world.

God’s strategy for world evangelism calls for two equally important elements: Co-missionaries and Go-missionaries, the senders and the sent, the supporters and the workers. A Christian church without missionary enthusiasm is a contradiction. God depends upon the faithful testimony of His people for the evangelization of the world. The Savior expects those who have tasted the sweetness of salvation to spread the news far and wide. He has commissioned His children to share His Word to the lost in every country. |
