God wants all believers to know His will in their daily lives. Pray especially for young people who are seeking God's plan for their lives. May they be "strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10). As they seek to serve the Lord in different vocations, pray that they will "put on the whole armor of God" and that they "may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). |

Slavic Missionary Service counts it a privilege to assist two wonderful workers in Belarus who are reaching souls for Jesus Christ in the hospitals. Yevgenia Chegir is ministering in a hospital in Minsk, and Anna Shaets is ministering in a hospital in Gomel. Praise God that “doors” are open to witness about the way of salvation in these hospitals. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).
During the Holiday season, Yevgenia and Ann received multiple opportunities to share the “glad tidings” that commemorates the birth of the Savior to the medical staff and patients. Christian calendars with special verses from the Bible became wonderful gifts to those people who were willing to listen. “This is a trustworthy statement, and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men” (Titus 3:8).
Yevgenia writes that one of the nurses specifically met her in the corridor one day and invited her into her office to talk. Because of Yegenia’s testimony and witness, this woman sought advice for problems that she was experiencing at home. An ideal opening to share the Gospel unfolded.
Anna writes that patients in the oncology ward always ask, “Why did I get cancer? Who can help? What will happen next?” These questions allow Anna to present the comfort that can be found in Christ alone. Just visiting patients who are forlorn and offering a small gift is a powerful gesture that presents unique occasions to share God’s Word.
“Let you light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). Pray that God will continue to give physical and spiritual strength to Yevgenia and Anna, as they let their lights shine before people who need God’s redeeming love and warmth in their lives. Pray that God will continue to help Slavic Missionary Service partner with these special workers who seek to fulfill the Great Commission.
