Summer Camp Outreach 2017

God wants all believers to know His will in their daily lives. Pray especially for young people who are seeking God's plan for their lives. May they be "strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10). As they seek to serve the Lord in different vocations, pray that they will "put on the whole armor of God" and that they "may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11).

While ministering in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia, the concerns of Christian outreach can vary greatly. Concentration must always be placed upon the specific needs of the region and the souls of men. Most of all, the children and youth should never be neglected. Just like in America, summer camping programs have become one of the best methods to reach children and young people with the message of salvation. “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Luke 18:16).

Many of the national workers of SMS will be conducting summer programs this year in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova. SMS was grateful to the Lord that a great deal of support was designated for the camping ministry last year. SMS was able to assist outreaches in Bendery, Moldova; Oryol, Russia and the surrounding areas; the Volyn region of Western Ukraine and a few cities in Belarus. “I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents” (Luke 15:10).

Again, SMS desires to assist those areas where funds and resources are limited. Consider if you can assist SMS in this important ministry to children and youth. Send your donation to Slavic Missionary Service, PO Box 469. Annandale, NJ 08801 or use the handy PayPal located on this page. Pray that God will direct the national workers to find the best personnel and the best places to conduct their summer programs. And pray that God will provide the volunteer staff with energy and enthusiasm, as they introduce the Savior of the world to the campers. “Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

Proverbs 18:10

With a heart of compassion, pray for the salvation of souls on each of the continents of the world. Pray that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will spread to the seven billion people throughout the world. "The Lord… is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). Ask God to strengthen you to be a witness for Him wherever you are and in whatever you do!
