God wants all believers to know His will in their daily lives. Pray especially for young people who are seeking God's plan for their lives. May they be "strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10). As they seek to serve the Lord in different vocations, pray that they will "put on the whole armor of God" and that they "may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). |
With leadership that is dedicated, prepared and desirous to pursue a spiritual task, progress surely will be accomplished. Slavic Missionary Service acknowledges that God works through many different types of people and in many different types of methods. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and the teachings of the Word of God, leaders can bring honor and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.
The regional pastor of the Volyn Oblast of Western Ukraine scheduled a new opportunity for the interim director of SMS to speak during his visit in the fall. That place was Roznichi, where the youth group is stable and thriving. The first time before new faces can be quite intimidating and frightening, but the Holy Spirit always connects a submissive servant to a captive audience.
The young man who conducted the service was energetic and enthusiastic. The worship team helped to join hearts together through spiritual music. And God helped the speaker to bring a message geared to the age of the listeners. Afterward, a time of fellowship was enjoyed around refreshments.
Praise God for spiritual leaders who are called to smaller towns or ministries. Not everyone can be involved in a large ministry or minister in a huge city. God calls some to serve in places where the community is small, but the fields are ready to harvest. Pray that these godly workers will be strengthened by the Holy Spirit to endure any struggles in smaller locations, and pray that they will be satisfied with the fruit of their labors.
