Alex Leonovich, the director of Slavic Missionary Service, has entered into the presence of the Lord on March 13, 2013. He is now at rest reunited with his wife, Babs, and rejoicing in the presence of His Savior, Jesus Christ.

Joyous Easter Greetings!

We join our brothers and sisters in Christ in the former Soviet Union, saying "Christos Voskress: —Christ is Risen, Yes, He is risen indeed!

Thank you for your gift toward the ministries of Slavic Missionary Service. The funds you sent will be used as designated by you. We are so grateful to you and the Lord for your response and help. Already, we are planning our summer camp programs both at home and aboard. This is a far reaching ministry through which we are able to reach out to orphans, children that come from broken homes, and through the children, reach out to their parents as well with the life giving message of God's love.

This is also the time that we are making plans for our outreach with English as a second language in Belarus! Two trips are planned. Minsk, June 13 – 23, and Gomel, June 27 – July 12. Last year over 700 students heard the gospel through this outreach!

"…A special thank you for the book that you sent me about Alex Leonovich. Indeed I do know him: as a small child I listened to him on the short wave radio. He was know to us as Aleksei Pavlovich. My family and neighbors used to get together at our house and listened to him preach every night for many years until we were able to immigrate to the USA. He and Earl Poysti were the main sources of spiritual food for us, because Bibles were scarce at the time of socialism reighning. The book you sent is very captivating to read and I can identify with a lot of things there. I had a hard time putting it down…"
