Dear Partners in the ministries of Slavic Missionary Service,
Warm Christian greetings from very warm New Jersey! We want to give you our sincere thanks for your role in making our ministry possible. With so many other organizations vying for your help, we are so grateful to the Lord for all you do, channeling your missionary support and outreach through the work of SMS. Be assured that every cent is carefully and prayerfully used as designated by you. Also be assured that God will bless you for your generous giving. Listen to these words from Galatians 6:7 & 8:
"Don't be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he'll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God's Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life." (The Message)
A few updates:
1. Leon Chechowich and Rob Zapotoski returned home safely after a whirlwind time overseas. The reports are encouraging! The English courses proved to be a successful method for introducing the "good news" to many who had never heard it before. Over 600 students signed up. 32% indicated they received Christ, 57% wanted to learn more about faith!
2. We welcome Sergey Drozd officially as our director of SMS in Belarus. We thank Dimitry Lazuto for his years of faithful service in this role and continue to support him as he continues his outreach in Belarus.
3. We have updated the audio section of our website and have added many more programs. This is an ongoing project as we have such a wealth of material from years and years of recording solid Biblical messages in the Russian language. We are currently paying our webmaster through our general funds. Any help given towards the support of this very important branch of SMS would be greatly appreciated!
