Two Slavic Missionary Service missionaries from the country of Belarus, Sergey Drozd and Valery Beza, were given the privilege to attend a pastor's conference in California during the month of March.

Their trips were extended that they might travel to some of their supporting churches to report about the progress of their ministries. A mission's conference, small group fellowships, luncheons and missionary presentations about Belarus comprised the events attended by each of the missionaries.

The highlight of their visit concluded with a luncheon with the director of SMS International, Alex Leonovich. The fellowship was truly inspiring, as encouragement and exhortation were extended to the two young missionaries, from a man who has experienced many trials and triumphs in his labor for God.

At the close of the camaraderie, Alex prayed that Sergey and Valery would continue to share the Good News with confidence and consistency in his native homeland.

Sergey Drozd is the director of the SMS missionaries in Belarus, academic dean of the Minsk Theological Seminary, and pastor of the Resurrection Church in Minsk, Belarus. Valery Beza is an SMS missionary and the pastor of the Slonim Bible Church in Slonim, Belarus. Both men also are involved in many evangelistic outreaches, especially to the youth in their cities.
