Pray daily for pastors in the Slavic countries (as well as your own) that they will have wisdom and power from God to preach the Word effectually and to care for all of the saints. Pray that the convicting power of the Holy Spirit will accompany the preaching of God’s Word throughout all lands. Ask God to stir up Christians to use their God-given freedom to the fullest advantage in making known everywhere the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). |
Faith
Including God's will in your prayer requests is a sign of strong trust, not of weak faith.
Living faith is visible.
God’s promises are the rails on which our faith rides.
Beneficial belief in God includes accepting a flesh-and-blood Jesus.
Your “faith” is a belief; therefore, everyone should be free to believe or disbelieve it.
Until our faith is tested, it’s just a theory.
Faith has “eyes.”
Fear
The Christian should have only one fear: the fear of the Lord.
Fellowship
Is the Lord enjoying my fellowship today?
Finances
God does not do a monthly direct deposit from some sort of Central Reserve Bank of Heaven to finance his churches and missions on planet earth.
Food
Assuming we are putting him first in our lives, Christ does not promise us a roof over our heads but, under normal conditions, we can expect food and clothing.
Some people's idea of fulfillment is food.
Foolishness
It is as if God is saying to humanity, “Since you have become so foolish,
I will challenge your foolishness with my foolishness.”
Forgiveness
Travel light: forgive.
Only the forgiving are forgiven.
An unforgiving spirit puts itself above God.
Forgiveness is not compromise; acceptance is not agreement; love is not license.
Freedom
The more I surrender to God, the freer I feel.
Man’s supposed freedom often brings the worse kind of bondage.
Free Will
We have the God-given ability to choose, to decide, to act and, concurrently or subsequently, to enjoy or to suffer the consequences of our beliefs and of our behavior.
What weighs 1 gram but is stronger than many a man’s will?
Get/give
It is more blessed to give than to get because, for one thing, you get no eternal rewards for getting.
Giving is painful only if my money is ingrown.
I will give God as much as I think he and his work are worth.
You have it together if giving gives you more pleasure than getting.
God does not condone living beyond my means, but he does approve giving beyond my ability.
God has time for me, and he’s busier than I am.
To give generously is good; to give generously and sacrificially is better; to give generously, sacrificially and joyfully is best.
